Where Should I Go?

I am thinking of traveling either this easter or next summer. These are some of my thoughts.

Dubai
Shanghai
Thailand (Bangkok, Southern Thailand for beaches)
Australia
Goa
Kerala (Beach and backwater cruise)
Mozambique
Sierra Leone
Brazil

I know they are very diverse choices. My top are Dubai, Mozambique, Thailand, Kerala. I will have probably about $4,000-$6,000 (USD) and will be flying from the Washington D.C area most likely unless prices going out of NYC are much more cheaper. Can someone give their recommendation and anything helpful?

This Easter? Why Dubai? Mozambique? Sierra Leone?

Most of those places are better at Easter than summer eg Goa, Kerala and the Thai beaches both experience rainy seasons in northern hemisphere summer. Dubai would be very hot in summer.

It depends what you're looking for.

I haven't heard great things about Dubai, and personally have no inclination to visit the place, but there must be a reason why it's so high on your list? I think it would also be the most expensive destination on your list.

Why Shanghai? There's nothing wrong with it as such, but wouldn't you want to combine this with Beijing / the Great Wall / anywhere else in China?

Personally I'd choose Kerala and Goa.

This Easter has gone, do you mean next year?.

Dubai is hot, sandy and expensive. Shanghai is expensive and unfriendly but has some interesting modern buildings.

Not sure about Mozambique? Sierra Leone? have they recovered from the Wars.

I would say Kerala or Brazil.
