Lol, cheers - when you put it like that it is a bit of a ridiculous fear.

I've gone for the TN offer in the end. Didn't seem like too shabby a deal, especially given a flight from NZ to London would be about £700 alone!

I'm sure I'll be back on these forums asking for advice in the run up to my departure. Until then, thanks v much!

It was not a horrible deal, no, although we showed you how you could do it for at least £200 cheaper by booking yourself. In the end, why did you pick TN over TF?

Btw -- looking at one-way ticket prices is highly misleading. One-way tickets are in fact sometimes more expensive than returns. In your case, London-Dubai-Singapore-Melbourne//Christchurch-Sydney-Bangkok-Dubai-London with Emirates with multiple layovers is just over £900 (depending on dates). You can build some pretty amazing bargain itineraries if you know how to search and put enough time into it.
