Summer Holiday Destination For Students?

Hmmmmm, that leaves things pretty wide open! You mean anywhere in the world? And just to clarify you mean summer for the northern hemisphere, as in June-August? The reason I ask is because I would mention Goa, India except that it'll be ridiculously hot there in the summer. Ko Phangan, Thailand is a classic party island, or Ko Samui, Phuket, etc. all in Thailand. Bali, Indonesia. Mexico, although not as cheap. Hawaii is awesome, and can be done cheaply if you stay in hostels and camp. The same with the Greek islands. Lots of possibilities. It would help a little to know where you live as far as what's closer to you for cheaper flights, what month you're going, what sort of daily budget you have in mind, what other things you want to d, i.e. snorkeling, exploring, biking, hiking, etc.

I see this is your first posting. Let me give you some advice. Before you hit the 'post message' button, read what you have written and see if you could answer it if you were a stranger. No one here reads minds.

You use the word CHEAP. What does that mean? To me it means around $200 a day per person, not including airfare. Sound good to you? I suspect (since you are a student) it doesn't. But what does? My crystal ball is not working this week.

You need to give a specific amount of money per person and what it has to include. ie. airfare, etc. Otherwise people are just guessing. If you want suggestions to include airfare in matching your budget you need to say leaving from where.

The more relevant info you provide aidanob the more relevant responses can be. Otherwise, it's 'garbage in, garbage out.'

I think Thailand or Malaysia can prove good. The night life is really very good as per your requirements.

Thanks for the feedback guys! (i am new to this as ye can tell!) We are Irish so yeah somewhere northern hemisphere June-August would be good. a number of people in the group have been to Ibiza and enjoyed it but found it to be a bit of a rob (they went through a travel agent). so basically we are looking for an Ibiza style place (i.e vibrant nitelife) we would be looking at spending around 200euro (c.$230) on flights and around 100euro a day per person. as for accommodation, 8 of us are going so we were thinking about maybe getting a 2-3 bed apartment(dependding on price) and cram us all in! we are students so we are used to it living like this. we would be hoping to get away for 10-14days......
As for daytime activities i know that from Kusadasi a boat can be taken to Samos so something along those likes would be nice. Theme parks, water parks, all inclusive boat trips etc are all very desirable.

Eastern Europe.... Croatia, Slovenia, Romania - or the cheapest of the lot.... Bulgaria.
Cheap flights, rooms, food, beer - allnighters on the beach and much more.
Doubt you'll find anywhere cheaper overall.
