what do you guys think of my itinary? i am flying solo this summer and wonder if my plan is o.k. also if anyone has suggestions for things to do at night by yourself (not into the club scene) i would really apreciate it, any ideas at all!
o.k. here goes:
fly to london - 3 days
edinburg - 3 days
glasgow - 3 days
fly to paris - 3 days
train to rennes - 3 days - side trips to st.malo & mt.st.micheal
train to amsterdam - 4 days
train to brussels - 2 days
train to rothenburg - 2 days
bus to augsburg - 1 day
train to munich - 4 days
bus or train to salzburg - 3 days (which way would be cheaper? don't want to use my pass for this)
train to mainz - 2 days
cruise with kd lines to koblenz - 1 day
boat/train to trier - 2 days
train straight to frankfurt airport for flight home
so any advice would be great - this is not my first trip but it is my first solo trip and last time i mostly was in spain/italy so i don't know alot about holland, germany etc.
so thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!

Sounds Ok to me. Glad that you do not try to cover all of Europe.
Also nice to see that you do visit other places than capitals/big cities.

Personally I would add time to Paris and reduce Amsterdam and München (Munich) - unless the Amsterdam 4 days actually means the Netherlands 4 days (= you will see other places than the city itself - there are soo many interesting places in Netherlands - and belgium too).

Are the travelling days included or on top of the days you mention: i.e. "Brussels 2 days" = day 1 travel to Brussels, find ho(s)tel etc, day 2 the only day in Brussels - or will you have 2 full days in Brussels (3 nights?). If the travelling days are included in the number of days mentioned the tour is a bit rushed.

I would skip Brussels and go to Brugge instead. In my opinion, 2-3 days in Munich is plenty and add those 2 days to Paris. The Louvre alone can take an entire day and still missing a lot.

Enjoy your trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BRW, you will not be disappointed in Brugge.

My only comment would be that you've got 9 days down for England/Scotland, and they're all in the cities - I'd really recommend a couple of nights in the country or smaller towns, perhaps Yorkshire or Derbyshire on the way up to Scotland, or a night in Fort William in the highloands of Scotland. See some of our glorious countryside!
Munich is a great place to be based for 4 days as there are some great day trips you can do from there - or just sit in the beer gardens!

To be more realistic, add a travel day in between ALL of your destinations. Trips like London-Edinburgh or Rennes-Amsterdam will pretty much eat up most of your day.
