I'm actually planning a similar trip from mid-March to mid-May. Could you possibly break down your estimated cost of 70 euros per day and what that includes? For example, how much are you estimating in that total for lodging, transportation, food/drink, activities, and whatever other expenses you're thinking of?

Thanks!

This depends on many things of course...which city, which time of year.and not least you ;-)

Some people want a private room,or a high quality, small dorm.Others are happy to sleep in a dirty place with 20 beds in a room........

Of that 70 euros....20-25 for a good dorm bed,as an average in large WE ciities.Another 20 or so for food (one cheap local restaurant meal and then supermarket/street food (of course you can spend a lot more here..or you can live on instant noodles).Maybe 5 euros a day for local transport..again,you can walk everywhere...but if you are in Paris and want to go to Versailles, its a long walk.

The other 20 euros or so covers entry fees (museums/attractions) and the odd miscellaneous...a coffee,a beer,a bottle of water etc etc.

Again this can vary widely...you can go to (say) Paris and not go up the Eiffel Tower or into the Louvre of course. However the vast majority of first time visitors want to do the iconic things.....

for Gods sake go to the Louvre for as long as possible.

But museums fill us up in an hour. then a break to digest and rest your brain.

some museums and sites cost 12 Euro.
