Plan an adventure?

Why not undertake an adventure rather than a planned trip?
What does adventure mean to you? Webster defines it as:
1 a: an undertaking usually involving danger and unknown risks b: the encountering of risks
2: an exciting or remarkable experience

Here is another definition: 1. a risky undertaking of unknown outcome. 2. an exciting or unexpected event or course of events.

Note the use of the words risk and unknown. How do they fit in with the typical planned trip we see people posting about here? Planning is the opposite of adventure by definition. Anything that happens to plan is not an adventure while anything that does not go according to plan is an adventure.

So you can plan and avoid adventure as much as possible or you can ignore planning and everything is an adventure. What you cannot do is plan an adventure.
