Hey Everyone,
Im trying to book a sleepertrain from Pairs to Florence for the 25th December. Im getting worried because apparently these book out really quick.
Im in Japan and the travel agents tell me they cant book the train tickets for me. So I looked on the web site http://www.voyages-sncf.com, but Japan is not listed as an acceptable country to purchase online from - I guess it boils down to picking up the ticket or something.
How do you book the tickets if you are not living in Europe ?? How do I pickup the tickets ??? (ont he web site it says I muct pickup 7 days prior to travel date, but I wont be in France until 3 days before the travel date).
Anyway advice would be really appreciated !
Cheers,

Voyages-sncf.com doesnt ask you where you live, it asks you in which country you'd like to receive tickets.
Would you like to receive your tickets in France, at the station? Sounds good? Then leave 'France' selected, then you can pick up most tickets at the ticket office in Paris. No problem! Only the very cheapest 'prems' tickets may not be pick-up-able at the station, but they may have changed this, so see what it says at the confirmation stage.
Bookings have just opened (on 11 Oct) for the 9 Dec to 11 Jan period.
To see a step-by-step advice for using www.voyages-sncf.com to book this train (as there's a few quirks!), and to see and understand the different types of couchette and sleeper on this train, see www.seat61.com/Italy.htm</a><BR><BR>A week or two ago I popped down to Italy for a couple of days from London using Eurostar and using these sleeper trains, and thoroughly enjoyed the journey as well as Italy!

there is a big chance this NIGHTtrain simply wont run on 25/12=Xmas here
In fact they ONLY send the real tix to IN EU. ANYOne wanting that, from this whole world, choose the other option: you get a secret code y email and ANY of the big yellow touch-screen SNCF machines in ANY station will deliver the ticket. you obviously need the code for that. plain easy and done y millions before you. alas, SNCF MAY (I dont have the prob) may also refuse cred-cards from certain countries. in hat case just wait and hope. But just BEFORE 25/12 trains are very busy, NOT on Xmas itself or the days just after (the very big scrum comes after 2/1)
