Hi there, I'm trying to get from Orio al Serio to florence. We arrive at the airport at 12:40pm on a Wednesday. Can we go straight from Bergamo to Florence or do we have to go via Milan, and change there? Don't mind whether bus/train or a combo of both. As it's my first trip to italy, most scenic is preferable. Cheap is also a major consideration!
Thanks in advance.

Ha, I'm doing the same exact thing in September. Let me guess--you're flying from Istanbul?

qwovadis-that's sounds good..but how does one get from the airport to the Brescia CIBA station? Would you suggest booking tickets in advance?

Have a different ideas than # 1, sorry

Not much sense in waiting 3 hrs for the bus to Brecia. Just take the local bus to Bergamo.
Its about the same travel time going via Verona or over Milan to Firenze, about 4 hours on the train.
Make your self a little timetable before you leave, with the connetions in Verona and Milan.
