Hi, as with many people on here i am in the middle of finalising plans for my first backpacking trip. My main question is, is it worth buying an interrail ticket for euope? After reading many posts/topics on this forum i have realised that my first route i had planned would be a bit too hectic and decided to cut out some destinations in order to be able to spend more time enjoying and exploring the cities i am going to, so my new route looks like this;
Munich - 3 nights
Vienna - 3 nights
Bratislava - 3 nights
Budapest - 4 nights
Belgrade - 4 nights
Zagreb - 4 nights
from zagreb we plan on heading down to the coast for a week or so before spending time in slovenia and ultimately making our way to Milan.
Now, if i was to buy a interrail ticket, it would start on the day i arrive in vienna (6th June) and i would have 22 days to use a maximum of 10 journeys, so i would be able to use it until i reach whichever part of the croatian coast we decide to visit.
Are there any people out there who have done a similair route and could reccomend if i'd be better off buying the ticket in advance, or just buying when i get to places for single journeys??? or just any general advice that could help us on out way... there will be 2 of us and we dont have a time frame in which any of this needs to be done if that helps at all.
thanks in advance!
