Help us find the ultimate backing-experience

Interest forums / Travel on a shoestring

I'm hoping that we could get some suggestions for our next travel :)
Me and my husband are going out traveling in September. I have traveled most of the Middle East, major parts of North America and parts of Africa. My husband has bascially travel through all of Europe and North America. We are dedicated budget-backpackers. Sometimes we plann ahead, sometimes we act on impuls. As mentioned earlier we have no clue about where to go this time. All we know is that we want to go somewhere warmer (as be both live in cold parts of the world) , we want to try to visit a place non off us has been to and we want to avoid stuff like hurricane - season in the Carribians.

Obviously our goal (as always) is to find Paradise. So, please, come we all the suggestions you might have :)

Camping on Whitehaven Beach in Australia and having the whole beach for yourself might be the most paradise-like experience I've had. It's a bit pricey though.

Otherwise, take your pick in South America or Southeast Asia. Colombia, Cuba, Malaysia, Philippines are some of my favorites.

Apart from warm and new...what do you like? Beaches, cultural stuff, trekking, food ? or something else?

Also..how long can you travel for? Have you got a time limit? Where have you already been to in Africa?

2

plenty of great destinations in South America, SE Asia or somewhere like India.....like Lucapal says where suits you best depends on your interests, time frame and budget,

Brazil, Indonesia, Laos, Burma, Panama, Nicaragua, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Oman, Sri Lanka, Colombia, Cuba, Guyana, Kenya, Cameroon.......... the list is long. Give us a few more ideas of what you enjoy (culture, wildlife, beaches, mountains.... )

I suggest you look at a world map and decide where you are both interested in going.

What is the point of people listing here all the places you have not been? A list of 100 countries other people like doesn't mean you will like any of them. As far as I am concerned, you are asking people to waste their time doing so. Do your own homework.

there is a suburb in Adelaide Australia called Paradise so perhaps you could go straight there but I doubt if there is any backpacker facilities
I must admit I prefer Bhutan but they don't have budget backpackers
or Easter Island if I want to be more at sea level and then you could travel further in Sth America and budget backpacking is popular there I believe

as others have said we need more specific info to advise you properly, but assuming a few months travel on a midrange budget, i would pick a few places in se asia. thailand, malaysia and singapore. if you have longer than a few months then add more places and vice versa.
