I'm starting to plan an extended SEA trip for 2015. My ideal route would be to work my way over from Vietnam to India with stops in Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Bhutan, Nepal and then India. My ideal budget would be $8000 over maybe a 4 or 5 month period. Does anyone know if this would be doable? Also, I'm a solo female traveller are there any ladies on this thread that have experienced travelling SEA alone??

Hello there guys, 21 year old Irish, going overseas to Asia alone for the first time,(in Asia and travelling alone). Flying in to Bangkok on 10th of March from Dublin.
What steps would you recommend for arriving not knowing anybody, eg, certain hostiles to stay at etc to meet people?
I am planning a trip to India - Nepal and then SE Asia end of 2015. I am shooting for November....date is flexible based on how much money I can save. Planning on 4 months total.
I traveled Europe for 2 months in 2013 and had a blast!
