9 - I'm beginning to wonder if you get kicks out of being a douche.

10 - Thanks Gwyds, that was helpful. Comparing it to our winter means itd be fine, just have to take a big coat and warmer clothes.

If you're ok to stay in hostels, you'll be fine. If you're planning on camping as in with a tent, not so much, espec. in northern Europe.

You could always consider being in the Rhein Valley during Karnival, it's a blast.

Yea, thinking museums and stuff And stuff?!

I've been watching this thread with interest, to see if you were going to spell out what it is you're interested in, just in case I had something to contribute. "And stuff"? Do you wonder why Wayworn got frustrated with you? You're asking what you can do in 'Europe' in the winter and that's the best you can come up with? And then you have the nerve to accuse Wayworn of being a douche? Oh, come on. You can't articulate what it is you want to do, if indeed you know, and then you project your inadequacies onto others.

Are we supposed to guess what that 'stuff' might be? Is it mountain walking, dolls houses, garage music, gothic cathedrals, wine-tasting, late night bars, convents and monasteries, underwater yogurt knitting...?

I grant you that NZ may not have much 'stuff' to do in the winter. Here in Europe, hundreds of millions of us live here throughout the winter and don't run out of 'stuff' to do. We don't just hibernate.

Don't be too hard on the OP tony_b, it's obvious that he (I can't imagine a she using the word douche to refer to someone) isn't the brightest bulb in the pack. I mean it seems he didn't even have a clue what the weather would be like in winter. LOL

Listen mellygator, here's a tip. Before you decide to go anywhere, sit down and decide why you would go. What you want to do with your time between sleeping and eating meals. Then if you still want to go, you might be able to ask an intelligent question.

every country sucks in the winter..best time for visits are generally late spring and early autumn.
so if you expect wonderful weather in some places, youll be very disappointed.
