I'm travelling to Europe from late Sept to late Dec. I have a budget of 8/9000.00 AU. So far iv spent close 5000.00 on accommodation. Which leaves me with about 3 to 4000 on food and other costs.
Am I dreaming to think I could survive on that?
Europe consists of 47 countries and price levels vary enormously.
Please be more specific about your itinerary and about what this budget is supposed to include.
Also keep in mind that with only an Australian passport you're bound by the Schengen restrictions - you're allowed to spend a maximum of 90 days per 180 in the Schengen Area, to which currently 25 countries below (with Romania and Bulgaria scheduled to join later this year).

3 days in London, 2 weeks in Amsterdam, 3 weeks in Barcelona, 2 weeks in Berlin, 2 weeks in Vienna and finally 3 weeks in Paris with the last 2 days in London. Travelling by rail in between.
The budget is meant to include attractions, food and other necessities. I've read that most of those countries are quite expensive.

Australian dollars are not used in Europe inthismoment. It is always better to post in the local currency. It is much easier for your reader to understand. However, as you are a new poster I'll do the conversion for you.
You have a budget of approx. 5700-6500 Euros. You have already pre-paid accomodation at a cost of approx. 3600 Euros. This leaves you with approx. 2100-2900 Euros for food and other costs.
Generally speaking, the accepted minimum backpacker budget (hostels, supermarket food) for W. Europe is around 50E per day including accomodation but not including transportation. If your total time is 90 days, that works out to 4500E. So your total budget seems doable but there are a couple of questions you need to supply answers to.
What accommodation have you booked? Hostels? 3Star hotels? Hostels will probably be between 10-30E per night depending on location. So an average of 20E would tell you that for 90 nights it should be somewhere around 1800E. You say you have pre-paid double that. So it sounds like you have booked hotels. If you are using hotels, you are probably not planning to buy some food at a supermarket and cook it in the communal hostel kitchen. Restaurants will of course cost more.
So you see, you need to provide more info. How many days specifically are you planning to spend. What kind of accommodation are you planning to use. Restaurants or supermarket food. How are you planning to get around and where is the cost of that in your budget. Entrance fees and 1 beer a week or 4 rum and cokes a night.
The more relevant info you provide, the more relevant the response will be. Otherwise, you are making assumptions and those responding may make assumptions. You know what assumptions do , they make an ass out of u and me.

Why do you think Amsterdam is worth 4 weeks? Paris 2, Berlin and the rest???
Why book acc if you don't know if the neighborhood is "safe"? Now you're obligated not to change mind and route or accomadation, when you learn better in situ.

You're spending your time in some of the most expensive cities in Europe. Other parts of their countries can be slightly easier on your budget.
"Attractions" and "other necessities" mean different things to different people, and costs vary immensely - national museums in the UK are free of charge, while the main museums in Amsterdam charge well over €10. But maybe you're not a museum type and prefer to spend a few hours with a few beers on an outdoor terrace - great idea, until you find out that that café in central Paris charges €5 for a pint of lager.
I can understand that you're a bit at a loss of where to start budgeting - my tip: do a forum search for city name + budget, and download the free "Getting started" chapter from the individual Lonely Planet country guides (you can find these under the "Shop" tab on this website).
