o I originally thought I was going to be limited to travelling in Europe. turns out I'm going to be allowed to go to place were ill need innoculations. oli
What countries exactly are you refering to when you say "east Asia"? | 1
The cheapest countries are Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Indonesia. You could probably last 6 months in those places. Thailand is a bit more, then Malaysia, then I'd say China. If East Asia includes India and Nepal, they're both cheap too. I'm assuming thar budget doesn't include flights to get there, but if it does obviously you'll need to take that into account. | 2
And if by East Asia you mean places like Japan and Korea, they're expensive. Also you say you plan to go to 'as many places as possible'. Don't. the best part of travel is not about ticking places off a list (even if everyone does this to some extent) it's about new experiences, new sites, new sounds, new encounters, new tastes, new smells.... And the best way for that is to slow down just a little. | 3
Please define 'Slum it'. | 4
aim at 750 per month | 5 | |
and the travel insurance, and the malaria tabs... | 6
Clearly the OP has said it includes airfare and no doubt neverwinter is correct, it would also have to cover insurance etc. I doubt 750 Baht per month will do it pepfcb. Or were you referring to some other currency that we should all automatically have understood? | 7
Good lord you put effort into being obtuse, don't you? What is the only currency mentioned so far? Eh? Yeah? Carry on, troll. | 8
Sorry, I see that you have said your budget includes flights and inoculations. And don't forget insurance. So you're probably looking at about 4-5 months sticking to the cheaper countries. | 9
TIS, not sure what you're on about, you're the one who came up with THB. OP mentionned sterling, no other currency | 10
It is common here on the TT for people to post ASSUMING everyone understands what currency they are talking about pepfcb. Therefore, it is important to always SPECIFY what currency you are talking about, not leave it to the reader to ASSUME. If you were an American or Canadian or Australian poster for example it could easily be that you were talking about your home currency, not the OP's home currency. Believe me it happens here. | 11
Come on, you were in the wrong. Stop cluttering up the thread with straw grabbing. | 12
TIS do you think you're some sort of authority in here? Jeez some people.... | 13
