cheap flight from londonInterest forums / Travel on a shoestring
I have been looking into flights to Europe and it is much cheaper for me to fly in and out of London. I am wondering if I can just make my flight to London and when I get there take a cheap flight that has room on it anywhere in Europe that has Eurorail? Do you think I can wheel and deal if I will will take anything once I am in London? The cheapest filght I can find right now out of London is about 65 bucks. Should I just book that or try the wheel and deal?
To which airport? London-Heathrow? budget flights from London-Stansted
Will get mostlikely more expensive this way. Esp. budget airlines tend to be much more expensive if you book last minute. | 1
Even "cheap flights" have a mix of very cheap seats and high priced ones. Guess which are left a few hours and days before. | 2
Why not Franfort, or Munich or Madrid? http://www.kayak.com They email updates. Good luck! | 3
Ryanair may claim that its £5 to Brussels or Toulon but by the time you've added on taxes, charges and a fee for checking in luggage it'll come to £30 at least. | 4
#6 don't forget the forthcoming "toilet charge" where, at time of booking, you have to book how many number ones & twos you are going to have inflight with no refunds if you don't use them and you can't share them with another passenger | 5
However, if you do it this way you'd get London thrown in "for free". Or: If you save a lot by flying via London you can spend it all there. If you were planning to go to London anyway (or think: why not?) why not. Also: If you get a "taxes+fees only" flight to Portugal and return the same way from Poland you don't need to backtrack on your train journey. But: Bok these flights before you live, so it is all stictched up and watertight before you leave. | 6
