Currently traveling in East Africa (Kenya). Can anyone recommend any budget locations/trips etc? Recently hitched round North of Kenya to visit tribes and it proved one of the most economical and interesting things I've done. After similar challenges/adventures.
I've heard Ethiopia is reasonable (if you're prepared to fight for your pennies) but also out of season. Not too concerned about the weather being bad but from what I've read out of season in Ethiopia means impossible to get round and no tours available (traveling solo so need to group up for things).
