Hi,

I am planning a trip to Hamburg, Germany in May or June and I am looking for a ticket, but I haven't been able to find anything cheaper than $900, even looking at kayak and travelzoo and other bargain sites. Has anyone been able to find cheaper fares? Do they even exist? I feel like $900 is so expensive and there must be something cheaper.

Thanks a bunch,
Mo

LTU and also other airlines offer Rail&Fly tickets. These are cheap flat rate tickets good to travel to any railway station in Germany on arrival day or day after.

It might help if you said where you are flying FROM.

Thanks for the replies and the advice.

...and apart from the extremely low prices found above (for LTU) 900 USD (I guess that those $ are US-ones even if you do not tell since you appear to be from the US) is a VERY fair price for a round trip with the present rate of the USD - it is not even twice your share of the fuel price!! - a regular price (coach) ticket cost many times that!

Minneapolis is not a place to get great airfare deals, for the most part, because it is what is known as a fortress hub. Northwest has it captured, and is defending its high prices quite well. Keep looking, and set fare alerts at Travelocity, FareCompare, and Orbitz.

If low cost is critical over convenience, connecting through Dublin seemed to cut costs on my itinerary.
