hi

unless you are planning on going somwhere where you can get a WHV i would suggest not planning to work. For your money to last the longest maybe just concentrate on the cheapest destinations. daily backpacker budgets for the different regions would be
South America - Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuala......can be travelled on a budget of £35 a day
India - £25 -30 a day
SE east Asia....varies from country to country but approx £30 a day

other things to consider are....your own interests and the time of year you plan to go on your trip

S. America's great, then again, Asia's great. Eh, they're both great, which one's calling out to you most? and within that continent which place is calling you most? Go there!

As for working to fund travel - do that at home.

Follow through on this. Street sense. Money belt(under yur clothes) that holds passport too.

Don't move on too quick. Don't befriend folks
your mom wouldn't like.
No really. Iinner voice saves lives.

Keep ears and mind open. Don't play phone games, while you should be listening, to the music of the spheres.

And while you should be watchin' your assets.
Heed warnings. Talk at length with older folks.

Don't talk much, to your own nationality.
They just talk about home, and can teach you nothing.
