After seeing all these inspirational travel blogs, I've decided to start one of my one. Please be sure to check it out. Any help and advice would be appreciated.

Preparing perfectly for a trip is the most important thing, not only when and where to go, but also what you take with you (and who you take with you)!
Start by getting a world map and decide which countries interest you.
A good guidebook like a Lonely Planet or a Rough Guide will help in your planning.
Make sure you can alter tickets if necessary. Many of our tickets are flexible and dates / routes can often be changed for little cost - and because we have over 450 branches worldwide - it makes it…
This is rather our personal travel journal, yet I'd love to share tips with others (budgets, how-to, transport, hotel, etc) coz I love searching for those little infos myself! We've done India & Kashmir in 2011, and Xinjiang, China in 2012.
Feel free to visit! (I'm still in the middle to finishing Xinjiang stories!)
Taiwan's Taroko Gorge is very pretty but a lot of the best bits are closed at the moment because of the recent typhoon.

They say freelancers can work from anywhere. This writer from Austin is putting it to the test by working from Amsterdam from Sept. 22-Oct. 17, then London Oct. 17-31.

Singapore is a reputably safe city. But do you know that there is a thieves' market in Singapore? This is just a blog to raise awareness about the oldest outdoor flea market in Singapore and other heritage places. There is a variety of photographs and a video of the sights and sounds of the market in the link. Sungei Road Thieves' Market
In fact, in a city full of skyscrapers and shopping malls on every turn of the street, this outdoor market sticks out like a sore thumb.

…Orangutans - one of the four Great apes - are disappearing from the wild. I returned to Borneo to photograph, and to see if there's a way out. The incredible torching of a handsome, male Orangutan looking for food happened while I was traveling in that region in West Kalimantan.
When a great ape's life is less valuable than a fruit tree, the need for a socio-cultural-economic shift becomes apparent.
Here's the photo-essay.

Hi everyone. I'm putting together an e-book called One Place where bloggers answer the question if they could recommend only one place to travel to where would it be.
I wanted to extend the invitation to all of you to be part of this project. All you need to do is fill out the form here: http://www.trip-logic.com/one-place-e-book-submission-form/ and I'll review and get back to you if anything else is needed.
I will also be featuring all of these submissions on my blog throughout the year…
Hi all,
I've just completed the Taiwan section of my blog . Essentially, my wife and I spent 23 days making our way around Taiwan.
We started in Taipei (where we attended the filming of a Taiwanese variety show, ate at the ShihLin market, went to Beitou and Dan Shui)
before heading down to Taichung (for the Sun Moon Lake)
and further south to Tainan and Kaohsiung
We then looped back North to Taidong and made a three day trip to Green Island
Afterwhich, we went to Hualien and Taroko Gorge
…
