Hello friends! I'm new to the Lonely Planet forums but discovered it through my love of travel blogging. I love meeting other travel bloggers, reading about their experiences, and sharing my own. Lovely to be taken away to faraway lands by reading about your travels :)

Come stop by my blog and say hello :)

Isn't it interesting to find out where people are visiting your site from ? (I use google analytics)
It can be quite fascinating and can become a bit of an obsession, trying to get a hit from a new country.

Where do you get most traffic from?
What countries are hard to get any traffic from?
Any thoughts?

I had extremely low expectations heading to my first full moon party on the Thai island Kho Pha Ngan.

With the debauched boozefests combining tens of thousands of young backpackers and gigalitres of cheap alcohol literally sold by the bucketful I thought I’d spend my entire time dodging fornicating couples, brawls and sprays of projectile vomit.

It wasn't quite as horrible as I thought it would be... click the link the read more.

I need your help!

I wonder whether somebody can come to my rescue. I once had a wonderful website that I have lost when my computer went dead. It was a kind of travel books library where you could communicate with the members. It was free and open to everybody. It listed the best travel books written over many centuries. You could post your inquiries and members replied. As far as I remember, it covered only books written by travelers. Does anybody know this site by chance? Thanks in advance…

I have spent almost two months travelling in Nicaragua and just would like to share with you one of the best spots which I have visited. If you are searching for nature, adventure, tradtion and friendly and warm Nicas - you have absolutely go to Somoto on the Northern border of Nicaragua. Somoto is just a small town but in its backyard lies the Somoto Canyon a remote natural highlight. Different local guides will offer tours for a very low price - there is also the possibility to overnight in…

Places like Tonsai aren't supposed to exist anymore. I thought all the exotic little beach hideaways had already been bricked over with soulless, generic resorts. Apparently not.

Here's a little blog post about it at The Bearded Wanderer...

in this quick sprint that is life
i get high on stories
so i eavesdrop on her eyes
drink in the sounds, see why she sighs
what determines her look. what depicts her life.
then type out the tale
of this little peep & longer pause!

Hi fellow travelers! I set out on a journey to backpack around the world for the next few years, and am blogging about my experiences. I'm exploring many countries, WWOOFing, getting temporary jobs to make some extra money, and continuing on. I started in the USA, going into Mexico, all the way down to Chile for 2013, southeast Asia 2014, and continue from there.

I hope you find my blog interesting and inspiring! If you're ever in an area I'm at, send me a message and we can meet up.
