Tokyo Summer 2018Interest forums / Travel Bloggers and Pathfinders
Another - record breaking - summer has come and gone in Tokyo, and hopefully the worst of the "mushiatsui" hot, humid weather has now passed. Once again, as part of my ongoing project Tokyo Kills Me, I snapped smartphone pics of people and places and scenes and omoshiroi mono “interesting objects” from daily life and weekend adventures in and around the Greater Tokyo Area: "The Big Sushi," as I like to call it. To gain an alternative, insider expat perspective on “what it’s really like” (to try to answer an oft-posted forum question) in Tokyo, please take a look at the latest installment of Tokyo Kills Me, at Tokyo Kills Me Summer '18: Photos For two decades now I have made for myself an adopted home here in Japan - the last 16 of which have been in Tokyo. During that time, not quite gone native, camera and notebook in hand, I continue to be an active traveller around the country, as well as - for better and worse - a keen participant in the daily life of Tokyo, world's greatest megacity :-) You can also check out the home page for Tokyo Kills Me for more photos and texts about the world's greatest megacity!
