Spotting tigers in Ranthambore

Interest forums / Travel Bloggers and Pathfinders

We've been told, you can go to Ranthambore so many times and not see a tiger. But we were really lucky. We saw Noor and her cub in the first 15 minutes of our first safari. Here's my sister's pic blog.

"you can go to Ranthambore so many times and not see a tiger". That's not true about the Ranthambore National park. It is said that you should do at least 3 safaris in the different zones of the RTR and you will be really unlucky if not see a tiger. However, you were really lucky to spot Noor and her cub in the first 15 min of your first safari. I went through your blog and it was a very nice read, pictures are awesome.

Hey Itchy.Feet!
There were a few people we met at the resort who had been on a couple of safaris and hadn't seen a tiger yet. And when we did the second safari in the canter (Zone 4), there was a family complaining that this was their 4th time in Ranthambore and no tigers yet, although they had seen a few in other National parks. And the canter guy told them that other people too had come a few times and not seen a tiger. Maybe he was just consoling them.

Anyways, yes, we were lucky to see Noor and her cub. :) And thanks again from my sis, she took the pics for this post. :)
