Hello,
I write a blog about Japan, particularly Japanese culture here in the UK, and am compiling a guide of shops, restaurants and museums etc.
I am looking for reviews and recommendations of any of the following:

Japanese restaurants
Shops and supermarkets that stock Japanese foods
Shops that sell Japanese items
Museums, stately homes or galleries that have Japanese exhibits
Japanese gardens etc.
Japanese events
Demonstrations of Japanese arts eg. tea ceremony

Everyone that contributes will be credited in the guide for their recommendation and you get to help other Japan fans!

Thanks in advance

The new Sushi Bar at Manchester Piccadilly Station.... Yo! Sushi.
Nothing much different to the ones in London, but quite a bit cheaper.
A very good choice of menu - too.

Snowshill Manor in the Cotswolds, now owned by National Trust, has a collection of Samurai armour and weapons that made a big impression on me as a child.

There's a nice Japanese restaurant called Sakura in Albert Road, Southsea, Portsmouth, Hampshire. Otherwise, there's not a lot of Japanese culture in this area per se. There is a new sushi restaurant that has just opened at the opposite end of Albert Road to Sakura, but I haven't tried it yet and don't know the name as it's only been there a fortnight.

Here are 4 fine UK Japanese gardens.
Within Holland Park, London, the Kyoto Garden:

This a fantastic place in Brighton, for example fab katsu-don for just £4.50 - its so good and natsukashii that I just can't have anything else! The shacho Kohei is orginally from Fukuoka but has been in the UK for about 15 years.

These guys have two shops in London where that vital supply of Pocari Sweat can be maintained, amongst other stuff!

This also a good similar place in the famed 'Japanese' area of Golders Green:

This place not far away from the above and can/does feature Japanese stuff:

There is the usual suspect of the Japan Centre/Mitsukoshi on Lower Regent Street where a sizeable number of Nihon no magazines and books can be found.

Foyles - legendary bookstore on Charing Cross Road that has been around forever, has a good section on books about Japan itself plus a MASSIVE selection of Japanese study materials, def the biggest I have come across in London.

There is supposedly a big Japanese community in Ealing. Try your luck out there.
