Hi !
I am a french woman and actually, I am starting a travel blog about my beautiful France ! My goal is simple : to invite foreign people to travel in France giving them good advice, my own addresses, my tips and my favorites, smart and interesting itineraries...
With this blog, I would like to show my France as it really is, my authentic and beautiful France !
As I live in the south of France, I began with three south France cities : Toulouse, Bordeaux and Marseille.
And I am going to make articles about all the most beautiful cities and places of France. And also give my itinerary to visit France in 7 or 10 days.
But I need your help...
That would be very nice if I could receive some foreign feedbacks !!! Because my french friends don’t understand english language so they can’t help me.
Perhaps you can tell me what do foreigners expect from such a site when they plan a trip in France ? Are there specific questions I could answer ? My posts are they clear and understandable ?

Thank you in advance !

This is my new blog : https://blogforfrance.com

What will they expect? That is a very difficult one to answer. Everyone has their own reason for travel and in many cases it may not be an obvious reason.

I am sure many people frequently take the advice of people who have traveled before, but what turned on those people may not turn on this person. Example of something like this in the USA. Route 66, for some reason people from other parts of the world think this is the highlight of a USA tour. This road is almost not there any more and when it was it what one of the main routes from Chicago to Los Angles. But the legion lives on, while 99% of the road does not exist any more, it lives on and many find out that the best part of our country are the many national parks they could have visited.

The best you can do is play the numbers game and do what most travelers want to see and do and I am sure with some research you can find that.

In my travels in Europe the experiences that if remember best are the little out of the way places is saw something unexpected or better, interacted with some locals that made the the experience special.

When setting out on a journey, do not seek advice from those who have never left home.

"As I am French I can tell you how to best visit France" I question that statement.

I have been to France five times and yes you do have a beautiful country. But every one has their own reason for traveling.

I live in SW France and know all of those places you are mentioning intimately. I cannot imagine that you have a whole lot to contribute to the already prodigious store of literature about them. You can't possibly have a unique view. Mine, as an American, might actually be more unique and interesting, but I'm not particularly interested in throwing my views out there with the oh-so-average millions and millions of bloggers.

And no, just because you are French does not mean you can tell anyone how best to visit France. I could probably tell you a whole lot of things about visiting France that have never crossed your French mind.

Hi @CocoKarine,

I've moved your topic to the Travel Bloggers and Pathfinders branch of the forums.

At least the OP has asked for some feedback on her contributions, which is not something that the two I-am-American-and-I know-everything-there-is-to-know-about-France posters in this thread have ever deigned to do.

Anyway, I've asked that this thread be moved to the relevant branch.

Hi Stcirq,
I am surprised and disappointed by your answer.
I wanted to know how my blog could meet the needs of foreign tourists. And here I am accused of being pretentious by insinuating that I know everything about France. It does not matter, I will go elsewhere, where people are more attentive and where I am not going to be humiliated.
