Anyone done a working holiday in Malta? Any info/advice would be much appreciated!

I believe that most foreigners who come here (Malta) to work for a short while end up working in hotels, bars and restaurants. It should be fairly easy to get a job if you're an EU citizen but if not, it can be very difficult. If you had something in particular in mind just ask and I'll see if I know anything about it.

Thank you for replying! I am Australian and would qualify for a one year working visa. I am happy to work in hospitality, but would like to know if speaking only English would be sufficient to get by?

Yes, speaking English will be enough. It is one of our official languages after all and practically everyone can speak some form of English here. None (or very very few) foreigners who come to work here speak Maltese because it is way too difficult (and useless!) to learn. It would of course be easier for you to find a job when summer is approaching and the catering / hospitality industries are picking up. If you have a TEFL certificate you could try to find a TEFL job but again, this would be easier to do in summer.
