well that looks great! thanks for your reply - i couldn't see anywhere else on their site to look. i can't work out what the difference is between the 3 visas (apart from the one aimed at students) but i see the only one available to the UK is the WHV. I'm very excited as I'm going to NZ in February for my WHV there and thought I may end up missing out on Canada or have to do it back to back (I've been in Aus for a year already!) to just about scrape in if I applied just before my 31st birthday and then entered the country just before my 32nd birthday. Looks like I don't have to worry so much about it now!

Sadly, I think you do need to worry - as do I for very similar reasons. We Brits have to be 30 or under:

grrr that's so annoying. Thank you so much though Beechtree for letting me know. When I checked before it did say it was up to the age of 35 so maybe they have corrected it.

Have to work out if i want to do it back to back now but i'm leaving the UK again in a few weeks to go to NZ so i'll probably have to have my police check done before I go as a just in case!

It does say 35 on the link George provided you with above, which I would LOVE to be the case - but I think it's just poor phrasing on the wesbite. People from some other countries have the higher upper age limit of 35 but not us Brits. I've emailed the website to make sure but I'm pretty certain, whenever they get round to responding, that it won't be good news. I'll let you know if it iturns out I'm wrong though.

I'm currently in New Zealand myself. Are you looking at working a ski season over here (just a guess from your interest in Canada after here)?

Not sure what i'm planning on doing in NZ at the moment :-) I'm flying into Auckland and may stay there or go to Wellington. As i'm due to arrive end of February it looks like it would make sense to do a ski season although i have never skied before so i'm considering trying to get work as a chalet girl type thing. I haven't actually looked into it yet so i'm not sure if this is a viable option or not. I'm going to half play it by ear, after i've done a bit more research :-)

The canada interest is more the ability to be able to live and work in another country without having to emigrate. I loved living and working in Australia and the different experiences so I'm thinking why not try and do it in as many countries as possible!
