I am a volunteer and English coordinator with Pisco Sin Fronteras, Peru (http://www.piscosinfronteras.org/) about 4 hours south of Lima on the coast. If you look at our site, you will notice that we do not charge any fees, unless one decides to live and eat with us; these costs are minimal, namely $35 per week. I am writing now because we are particularly in need of English teachers. Ideally we will be able to recruit experienced TEFL certified teachers, but enthusiasm and commitment are at least as important.
Although our organization originated for the purpose of helping to rebuild Pisco after an 8.0 magnitude earthquake (and rebuilding is still our main focus), we are increasingly moving into community development and one of the main aspects of this is an expanded English teaching program.
