VIA programs

Some you you may remember that I posted about the Peace Corps on this forum a while ago. I am now leaning towards another organization, called VIA programs (used to be called Volunteers in Asia). I feel like I may have more of an opportunity to actually have a positive impact on the community with this organization. I heard about this program through a returned volunteer and he had very good things to say. I'm curious if anybody else has any experience with this organization or opinions to offer.
