Teaching in Japan

Hi,

1. When does the school year and mid-break start, both private and public?

2. When are the normal holidays/breaks when there uiis enough time to head home for a bit?

3. Any reccomendations for/against public vs. private vs. business teaching? I've only got 6 months experience with kids in S. Korea, and a B.S. degree.

4. Any advisement on cities or schools to teach at or not teach at? I do like a good nightlife after work. Positive or negative feedback appreciated.
