Hi my wife and I have been working in the toruist industry for over 10 years but all of it Europe mainly repping, guiding and back office type work. We would love to work futher a field maybe running a small botel or lodge, or tour comapny but really struggling to find info on the web and how to do this, any suggestions or ideas would be great. The minus point is I am over 35 so things like going to Oz and New Zealand are a bit difficult just wish i was under 30 again.

Thanks for any help

I was 34 when I travelled to NZ whilst on a RTW trip, got a job, got a work permit still here 10 years later. I do not have a degree.

Tourism is a major contributor to the economy and if you got a job offer (depending on the job), you should at least qualify for a work permit valid for 2-3 years. Your wife would also be granted a work permit, based upon your relationship if you are successful.

It's pretty straightforward, the key is to have a job offer that qualifies for "skilled work"

If that something you might be interested in then your best bet is come over on a vistiors visa and start to apply for work once here.
