So i'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, let me know if theres a better place.

I'm going to be doing abit of traveling, combined with workin in thailand for the next year. I want insurance that covers me for this, but all insurance i can find only covers the first set of travel out from and back into the uk. as i will be retuning home after the 1st month in africa before heading to asia and then possibly once or twice during the year i want insurace that covers all my flights and my travel beyond my first month. Anyone know if there is a name for insurance like this or a company that does it? Does it even exist? Thanks

I dont have a job in thailand yet and as i will be traveling a large portion of the time it would not be covered under any insurance offered through a company unfortunately. Any more ideas anyone?

Maybe your employee dept can give advice on that. Not policy through the company. Then tell us.

Can't you get annual multi-trip insurance? That's what we always do. There are limits on the length of each trip though. We have used Insure and Go for years now.....

Multi trip wont cover me for long enough, it has a maximum amount of days for each trip that is less than i need as i dont know if and when i will be returnin to the uk, it maybe up to 6 months between trips! :(

They do world wide travel insurance, which covers you in all countries you select.

In my experience travel insurance cuts out the minute you hit your home country so I simply sign up for a new policy for the next trip (I only go home one or twice a year). I'm currently using World Nomads.

Bear in mind that travel insurance assumes you are travelling, not living and working somewhere. Most travel insurance will not cover you while you are living and working for an extended period. That requires expat insurance. Specifically designed to cover people working outside of their home country.
