i (australian) am in the middle of applying for a K1 visa and am a little confused by the forms

does anyone know anyone in sydney who can advise me and put me back on the right track

You ( the alien) does not file the K-1 petition.

Your USA citizen fiancee must complete and file the K-1.

As the alien fiance, you must provide proof you are legally able to marry in the US ( of age and not married), have a police clearance from your home town, and have a physician's examination with laboratory tests and X-rays certifying you are free of specific diseases.

It requires registration, but is very practical and useful.
