I just quit my job and I already have my next semester paid for, so instead of getting a new job, (or spend the summer looking) I want to go somewhere and have an adventure. That doesn't mean something exciting, just something that is somewhere new (I've haven't been out of my hometown in a few years,) and somewhere where I could work in exchange for room and board, and maybe a small allowance so I can buy a plane ticket home at the end of the summer. I am a hard worker and up for almost anything, as long as its not borderline illegal or illegal. If anyone has heard of anything, contact me.

mmm. I wouldn't advise going anywhere at your age and stage unless you have a ticket home (or can call on someone for funds). Work - legal or illegal is not easy to get at the moment in many places and relying on that to get you home is not going to be sensible if you miss the beginning of the semester. (short term gain for long term pain) That short time is not worth looking for a WHV in many places either. Immigration in most countries will request proof of funds if you are going to stay for a reasonble length of time and woofing is illegal in many countries without a work permit - but it happens.

Why not check out the opportunities in your own country - ie take a bus as far as you can and then make your way home again by various methods.

Try workaway.com

There are plenty of options on there for getting room and food in exchange for work, but you'd have to provide all other expenses.

You don't say where you are starting from.
You don't say what funds you have to start with (ie. to buy a plane ticket and eat till you find this job)
You don't say what skills/experience you have that might help you get a job.

You have done no thinking about the practicalities of this, it's just a dream. To move from a dream to reality YOU need to come up with an actual plan that is WORKABLE. That means talking about FACTS not vague thoughts.

For example, suppose you told us you like the outdoors (hiking, camping, fishing, canoeing, etc) and live in the USA. That you have around $500 to start you off but that's it. You are 19, fit and don't mind physical labour. Then someone might suggest you look into the volunteer projects that the US National Parks have available. Spending a couple fo months building trails in Colorado might be your idea of an adventure.

But you have provided no information other than "so instead of getting a new job, (or spend the summer looking) I want to go somewhere and have an adventure."

Garbage in, garbage out.

Go to Bangkok.

You can easily get a teaching job which doesnt pay much (~1000$/month) but is enough to live off.

Also if you play Ice Hockey bring your skates and Hockey gear as we play ice Hockey out here every Thursday!
