I don't see any real advantage to this. All it does is list your info online. They don't find your bag for you or do anything at all really. If your bag goes missing in an airport it is still the airlines who have to identify your bag and get it back to you. Whether they access this website to find your address or read an ordinary luggage tag on your bag makes no difference. Changing the info depending on where you would want the bag sent, when, is something people often fail to do but then they are just as likely to fail to update the info on the website. If you think it is worth paying to be able to do it after the fact, then pay. Personally I just make sure I update the info BEFORE I check my bag in.

What is wise is to not use a luggage tag that displays your info to anyone taking a casual look. I use tags that require you to take the paper out and turn it over to get the info. On the outside it simply says 'name & Address on reverse' It also says 'reverse' in several languages. It is also wise to have another tag inside the bag. Even tags with steel cable (as shown in the globalbagtag picture of their tag) can come off. If their tag comes off, what happens?

Finally, never pack anything in a bag you can't afford to lose. Most things just cost money to replace, that's what travel insurance is for.
