Hi there,

I am currently discussing the option of being transferred to Tunis for some time. I have never been to Tunisia in my life, but I have lived in Cairo, Egypt for almost 2 years. I speak some Egyptian dialect and am learning MSA at the moment, my French is bad but I can have a conversation. Oh, and I am a 37 year old European woman.

My question is: what is Expat life like in Tunis?

Although geared for diplomats and military, you might want to take a look at the Diary of a Small Planet website for some information.

do you have a link for that?

what I am mostly interested in is: how does one meet with other expats? I am not a student anymore, so getting to know people is not as easy as before, but very important. I want to get to know both locals and other expats...

I have, but nobody is answering there, either!

Thanks a lot, btw, had a look at the website and it looks very helpful. It is what I feared it is - a bit boring...but hey, it always depends on what you make of it.....
