Hi can anyone reccomend an employment agency for overseas positions? Not a specialised agency, just one that handles all areas of business.

well employment agencies can be general, e.g. administration, engineering, IT, healthcare, HR, etc...
Thanks anyway.

Someone gives you a hint and you do what? Miss the point?
Oriorchid, what country are you in and what kind of positions are you looking for? Are there any particular countries where you would want to go? What nationality are you and do you have any other passports/visas that would allow you to legally work in other countries?
I just checked your profile and note that over 1000 of your 1086 posts have been on the Women Travellers branch. Why does that not surprise me.

Yes it does seem that I have missed the 'hint'
now you are generalising about me Wayworn, just because I post on Women Travellers. Also, that is not my true number of posts, as I lost that when tt changed. You are correct though, I do mainly post in WT as I am not travelling as much now. I do however post in travel branches. Can you take a fairer view of me please.
I am from the uk. Countries - I don't know, I wanted to see what was available. I can work legally in countries part of the EU. With visa's in other places.
I have obviously phrased my question incorrectly. What I am trying to ask for is an employment agency that specialises in placing people in jobs abroad, but who are more general on the category of job, e.g. they look for positions and people in all sorts of industries.
Maybe there isn't such an agency and I have found a gap in the market?

I'll perhaps change my opinion of you oriorchid if you tell me you aren't blonde. If you are, my opinion stands. LOL
Recruiters, headhunters tend to specialize. Even an agency with a more diverse customer base tends to specialize internally. I don't think you have identified a 'gap' in the market.
No one, including you, is ever looking for a 'general' job. Either you have an industry you are interested in or a skill set/experience to offer or you are lookiing for unskilled work. So if 'general' existed, it would most likely simply be another word for unskilled labour.
One agency might specialize in finding people for the steelmaking industry or the IT industry while another might specialize in finding accounting or secretarial jobs. They are simply different categories but you still have to say which category you are looking for work under. I take it that you are not looking for work as a carpenter but have a plumbers license.
There are specific agencies who specialize in overseas work. They aren't hard to find but they also tend to specialize in a specific category of some kind, just like any other agency.
YOU have to decide what categories you want to search for work in. Then find agencies who handle those categories.
Try agencies that have worldwide networks, like Hays, Adecco, Drake. There are agencies that do specialise in placing people in foreign jobs, you would need to Google to find them though - I have seen a few advertising over the years but can't rememeber the details.
And yes, the big agencies cover all aspects of employment branches, such as admin, engineering, mining, construction, IT, healthcare etc. At least they do here in Australia anyway.
