"You suit it" instead of "it suits you" - is that a Scottish expression?

I've come across it twice - "You don't suit nicknames" in a book, and "you suit pink so well" from an acquaintance. Both were Scottish. Can anyone confirm or otherwise?

I know I'd use "you suit it", but I'm Scottish so can't necessarily help I'm afraid!

#1 -- I think that does help. So far we've got three Scots using it and as far as I know no one else.

I live in Scotland but I don't think the phrase is necessarily Scottish. I'll keep my ears peeled
