Chris, biszkopt+ is actually the light dough part of a cake -- the recipe part made with eggs, flour, sugar, etc. Afterwards you can slice it in half or more circles and put in cream, fruit or whatever. It's not usually eaten on its own. You add cream or other things and it becomes a +tort.
Not sure what would make a good Thanksgiving one though.

Just saw an excellent documentary this morning (thanks, Netflix). "In the Realms of the Unreal" deals with outsider artist Henry Darger, a Chicago recluse who created a mammoth fantasy novel with vivid accompanying artwork. Beautiful and unsettling, and recommended.

Weather reporters were getting all sorts of reports of a funnel cloud here yesterday--something that would be pretty rare. But what people were seeing was something that is also pretty uncommon. A hole punch cloud (Photo may take a bit to load)
Well the first time I tried to post a few thoughts about foxes and hole-punch clouds here, we had a power outage (they occur daily this time of year--some are shorter and some longer).
