That's the Malay word for a left-handed person.

Do any other languages have a special name / adjective for left-handed people?

The German one just literally translates to lefthander. How about the rest?

The French and German words too.

I thought you were looking for foreign equivalents of English "lefthander", like Malay kidal. Doesn't kidal translate literally into English as "lefthander"?

Perhaps I misunderstood.

Mańkut in Polish means lefthanded. There's neither 'left' nor 'hand' in the word.
There's also a synonym, 'leworęczny' meaning literally lefthanded.

Sorry, #5. The Malay word means neither left or hand, which was why I said a special name/adjective for it. Like southpaw in #1.

South in southpaw means left. Paw in southpaw means hand.

The Arabic doesn't have "left" or "hand" in it. The French and Turkish derive from the words for left. The Italian derives from the word for hand.

Zurdo, in Spanish, doesn't contain either hand or left in it. Not sure of its origin, easily googleable I guess.
