bjd, Bebo.com is another social networking website. I assume it's along similar lines to Facebook but I have never used either. I believe it is the one of the three most visited websites here in Ireland, and I unthinkingly assumed this popularity was an international trend. Having just read a little more about it, that may not be the case - for some reason it seems to have been exceptionally successful in Ireland. A high proportion of its members are teenagers.

I'm not sure if there is a "current tendency" to apply labels to generations. The term "baby boomers" has been around for quite a while.

By coincidence, I just read this in the San Francisco Chronicle "bebo, a social networking site popular in England." Interestingly enough, bebo is based in SF. A bit of Googling and I find that, worldwide, bebo is second only to MySpace, even though it's not well known in the US (it's a distant 3rd after MySpace & Facebook). In the US, "The site appeals to a more African American, younger, mostly female audience. The typical visitor watches Black Entertainment Television, reads Cosmo Girl!, and visits EZ.Tracks."
