As of last night, December 12, diacritical marks have been at least partially enabled. No HTML coding necessary.
¡Fíjense en estes ejemplos, por favor! ¿No me acuerdan que el equipo LP TT hacen progreso, poco a poco?

And posts are numbered. Any sign of the list of threads recently replied to?

Am I right that nothing signals when you have a new PM? (Except that the number of saved PMs increases by one.) That certainly seems more like a bug than a feature.

For the PM's, it looks as though you have to open them all and get the count down to 0, then you will realize when you have a new one.

Don't go away, NorthAmerican. I think that LP would have gotten rid of the Thorn Tree by now if the only demographic they were aiming at were the very young who spend their time socializing over the internet. At least, I keep reading that many companies realize that money is available for spending by older people. Perhaps it's true that many of these people prefer more comfortable ways of travelling, but not all.

"group functionality"? well, we are a group here on SiT, and we function -- just try to find the answer to a tricky linguistic question anywhere else. Is that what it means?

"Don't go away, NorthAmerican." (bjd at #!#)

I didn't mean my post to be a veiled threat. It was a pleasant surprise to see numbers on the posts again, and, thanks to anonimo, to see diacritical marks; ¡Qué milagro!

It would help, while posting a reply, to be able to scroll upward to refer back to text in the thread, but I guess testing my memory might be a good thing....

I see that a number sign doesn't function as it used to; I intended that reference to be to the post at number 13.

#15 (just because I can!) -- What happened with the number sign? You mean #?

#12 -- PMs: The counter on the front page shows 'unread' PMs, and in the migration to TT4 all PMs stored in your inbox AND outbox were reset to "unread". To remedy this, go to your inbox, click the box in the blue bar to toggle all the messages, click Mark As --> Read. If you have multiple pages of PMs you'll have to go through the pages and repeat this action.

This will still leave messages in your outbox unread. What really is a bug, I think, is that outbox messages are marked 'unread' -- How can sent messages be unread? -- and there's no "toggle all" button in the outbox, so you'll have to click on one, and then with next - next - next go through them all. Once you open them they are marked as read. Once your counter is down to zero, PM on the front page will not be bold anymore, and you'll notice when you have a new PM.

#16 -- Thanks. I didn't know that. Well, obviously. I'll just get it down to a round number and then I may notice when that number changes. I noticed my last one just from the number being different (although I only noticed two days after it had arrived.)

##14, 15 -- I think you probably hit "shift" when typing the 3 in "#13" so that it came out #1#.

I'll try again; if I hit the shift key by accident when I was typing before, it wasn't the first time I'd made that kind of mistake.

Guilty, I guess. Thanks.
