germans with foils?
foils are similar to leatherpants. they are adhesive transparent sheets germans stick to their genitals. nowadays with leather fallen into disrepute because of animal-friendly consciousness, these "foils" are very popular as a timely modern adaptation of traditional attire.

mathilda, oh yes. It is funny all day long. In fact, when I came to this conundrum I kept saying in my head, "Blast! Foiled again!"

for some reason i saw this thread and i kept thinking "germans with leatherpants". it's a song.

you know i wouldn't get away with it had i not, at one point, run into one real german in a beergarden in syria and had i not, from that experience, been able to deduce that they do indeed wear them (foils or leatherpants, whichever really)

mathilda, are you talking about leather pants or Lederhosen? We use both terms in English and they're both creating completely different images in my mind of that guy in Syria.

i realise only now that that song has been creating a wrong image in my mind all along.

my syrian guy, like yours, is just a figment of imagination so i suppose he may have worn the garment from the song which may or may not be the one erroneously evoked or the one intended, just take your pick.
