German Phonetic : Drek Fresser

A Dreckfresser, as per this website an Austrian word for a mean, stingy person who'd rather eat his own dirt.

I have never heard this expression being used in Germany, not even in Bavaria, which is neighbouring Austria.
And I don't like it.

I am Austrian and can't remember hearing this word either. Perhaps I mix with the "wrong" people. I can't think of a situation, when I would use that expression myself.

i know that word but it is used very rare. not a real friendly one.
has nothing to do with cheap food.
has nothing to do with beeing a stingy person either.
i think when it is use its used for some foreigners or homeless people.
it is a word that i'd not use, it is very abseing!!

Well, it means shit-eater, if I'm not mistaken. I would be inclined to think that it should be an insult, more than anything else.
