Hi all!

This November i will make my first solo trip to Thailand. I'm extremely excited but i'm having some issues with creating the perfect route. I decided to split my 3 weeks between the North and South of Thailand to see a bit of both. I figured out where i want to go in the North, but not so sure for the South. Do you guys have some tips where to travel to when i get back to Chiang Mai?

Route so far:
- Bangkok (2 days)
- Chiang Mai (4 days)
- Pai (2 days)
- Back to Chiang Mai and take a plane to the south..

Hello,

I’m doing a solo motorcycling trip to Central & South America for 3 months from Phoenix Arizona starting June 25th or last week of June 2019.

Looking for a fellow motorcyclist companion who is starting during this time or who can meet up in Mexico or other countries & share the Ridley completely or partly.

Thanks,
Pavan

Hi all,

Me and my partner are planning to travel for about 3 weeks in late May-early June. We are keen hikers but we don't want to focus solely on hiking and would like to combine -multi-day- walks with fine food and a bit of urban culture (and most importantly inexpensive accommodation) where possible. So we'd be happy to spend half of the trip hiking and the other half in cities/towns.
We have three destinations in mind, namely Peru, Azores, and northern Vietnam. I know each of these places are extremely attractive in their own rights, but I was wondering which one would be more likely to satisfy us given our interests? We are based in Turkey, so getting to Peru seems a lot pricier compared with Azores and Vietnam but at the same time it seems to be quite affordable to travel within Peru. Also, 3 weeks in northern Vietnam would probably be the cheapest option, but I wonder if the walks in Vietnam are as beautiful as those in Peru's Cusco region? And Azores look super beautiful but I'm curious to know what they have to offer besides the nature?

Anyone care to share thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

The perfume-scented, Eton-schooled toffs in the Tory Party want to be the sole British ruling-class elite ... after all they came over with the Conqueror (at least in their own fervid imaginations). They can't stand Brussels having a slice of their power - and craftily they have enlisted the cloth-cap Alf Garnett nincompoops under Farage et al. to help complete their dirty work.

They couldn't give the tiniest toss about retrograde inconvenience to the Irish, and if it weren't for the DUP votes and some decent principles in Brussels, they wouldn't have to even pretend to.

Im a solo traveller planning to go for a 2-3 days trekking/hiking in the Simien Mountains with a very friendly and reliable local guide (I already know) around 5-6th January (no fixed date yet).

Hi, I’ll be traveling solo to Chichen Itza next month and my cheapest flight option is to Merida. My hotel is only a couple km from the ruins. I’m wondering if anyone has experience traveling from MID(Merida Airport) to Chichen Itza? My flight arrives in the evening(8pm) so I would be traveling by night—what are my options? Do I need to worry about safety if I take the bus? I will have a valuable musical instrument with me. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks very much

Hi
I am hoping to go to Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands for a weeks sea kayaking in November 2019.

I prefer getting a package holiday which includes airport transfers, meals etc. I am travelling solo.

Can anyone recommend a hotel please. I am not really interested in huge hotels etc but one that is still offered by the tour companies.

Many thanks

Regards

Frank

I'm hoping to go to Guatemala for two weeks over Christmas, returning before new year. Will I have trouble finding places to stay at this time (I'm looking at quiet hostels/Airbnb/little guesthouses) - and is there anywhere you would recommend spending Christmas itself? I'll be travelling sola. Muchas gracias!

Hi ! I'm planning a trip to Portugal from the USA. I'm a female solo traveler and have 2 - 3 wks.
I was wondering if flying into Spain (or other European country) and then taking the train to Portugal would be less expensive.
Also does Portugal have like a Euro rail pass ?
Thank you.

As far as I know, Travellers Autobahn NZ is just another rental company aimed at backpackers.

fair enough - in Australia they are (or at least were) a Sydney-based outfit that sold vans to backpackers with a buy-back guarantee at the end of the 'contract' period. Don't know how expensive it was to use.
