As above. You need to do some research first!
There is no such thing as a 'must see' itinerary.Or at least,it varies from person to person...it depends on you, your interests, your budget etc etc.

Hello all,
Going to Morocco in a few weeks and I'm planning a few nights in Marrakech. As I don't have time for any excursion to Atlas I was wondering if anyone know a hotel or hostel with a great view of the mountains? Budget around 50-70 USD / night. A bit more for a superb view :)
Thank you so much in advance guys!
Best

Hi everyone,
I am going to the full moon party in Koh Phangan (staying in Koh Samui) June 27 but fly out of Bangkok on the 29th at around 430 PM. I'm just looking for a bit of advice, I'm not sure whether I should make my way back to Bangkok on the 28th to make sure I make my flight, or if the airlines are pretty reliable there if I were to book a flight from Koh Samui to Bangkok on the morning of the 29th? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

2.5 weeks in each country not really enough. You could travel in Java or alternatively fly to Padang or Medan in Sumatra and spend a month in West Sumatra or North Sumatra. From Medan you could fly to Penang , and from Dumai (a days bus trip from West Sumatra) you can take short ferry ride to Melaka in Malaysia or you could fly from Padang to KL.
Or you could stay in Bali for short time and then fly to Malaysia and spend most of your time there. If you want some tips about places to visit in Malaysia and Sumatra post again once you have decided.
The main form of budget accommodation in Sth East Asia outside main towns or cities is guesthouses and bungalows not so much hostels. If you can borrow guidebooks it may help to get idea of the general situation.
Hey. I’m planning a trip to Italy and Greece. First time backpacking & going Solo. My time frame is around a month or a month and a half. My budget is pretty wide. I want to go to Athens, mykonos, Santorini, Ios, perhaps Paros or Naxos & Rome and Sorrento, almafi coast & Capri island.
Where should I start? & how much time in each would be recommended. Im going to relax, sight see, history, food & culture, beaches and adventure. I’m going beginning of June.

Hi everyone, before I go through the exhaustive process of writing down everywhere/dates I've been over the past 10 years in application for a Russian visa I wonder if anyone who has been to Russia recently give an idea of costs.
Lonely planet currently says up to $US23 (1500 roubles) for budget travel per day and up to $US63 (4,000) for mid range travel per day. It seems cheap but in line with Ukraine and The Balkans. However other travellers, even from a couple of years ago talk about it being expensive.
So if we stay in mid-range local guesthouses or reasonable 1brm airbnbs(or business hotel), eat at small local restaurants, take a taxi about once a day around town, visit max. 1 museum per day, take a private day tour once every 3 weeks or so, what would be your suggested budget? Does the above sound right or is rough guide more accurate at $US60 for basic budget travel?
I'm very confused. Thanks for your help.

Agree with above Koh Tao is very good, Koh Phangan is much quieter but can be more expensive. I was diving in Koh Tao this July. I dived with Big Bubble who were excellent if you do the Padi course they are all Thai instructors which for various reason appealed to me. My only complaint was we booked accommodation through them and rooms they allocate are not so great, fairly cheap but we though we were getting a bungalow, when it was a room in a concrete block. The room itself was comfortable and quite large, with a good shower, but quite dark. Not great when your wife was not diving, but for a single guy fine.
No I rented this guest house for one week that I’m here. The north east corner of the island has one beach called Haad Than Sadet. It was more like a national Park Conservatory kind of booth, or the government was collecting the money. I was surprised to see that a waterfall and being able to carry-on to see a beach, they would charge money for that. Total bullshit. It’s not like they are providing a service, they just have their hand sticking out at you wanting money.
True that I probably could get a bungalow on a beach somewhere, I don’t know what compels me to stay in Tongsala. I’ve already paid so I’m here until the end next week.
A secluded beach area could be nice but then I would feel kind of stuck there by the limited amenities on that one beach only. And riding the motorcycle around as one of the highlights and something I’d like to do anyways so I guess I don’t mind staying in Thongsala and then if I want to do anything or go anywhere I guess I can use the motorcycle. Plus where I am staying right now I get like I had mentioned, I get air-conditioning TV nice bed refrigerator and a hot shower
