#15. I tried to read through your katakoto Eigo and couldn't really understand what you were trying to say.
As a Japanese, you have no experience of Japanese immigration at all, and really don't know what you are talking about.
People only get denied entry if immigration feel there is a good reason to do so. If someone's story stacks up then they will be fine.
What we don't know is why the people you mentioned were denied entry. These things are seldom done arbitrarily.
if your overstay is on record, if so I think that even if they have not invalidated your current ESTA they will deny you entry and it is likely that you will only be able to visit the US with a visa in the future and you may find a visa difficult to obtain due to your overstay.
Do we have some support for either of these assertions - that a VWP entry is no longer available, and that getting a visa has become a lot harder? Both seems to contradict the policy that an over-stay of less than…
If the return flight is fix from Zürich:
a) check if your visa for Switzerland is not just a single entry visa. If it's just for 10 days this may well be the case. Than should not leave Switzerland at all, as the risk that you'll be denied re-entry is really high.
b) plan you trip into Germany at the begin of your trip, i.e. in a way that you are back in Switzerland before the visa expires. Otherwise you are again at big risk that you'll be denied entry to Switzerland.
The best solution would be…
Hi. My family and I have 2-year, multi-entry visas to Ethiopia. We are flying into Addis Ababa and I have a few questions.
Can we cross land borders to meet the entry/exit requirements, or do we have to fly out each time?
On a related note, if land-crossings are sufficient, where are they and which ones are relatively safe?
Also, do I need to present a copy of return flight (or bus) reservations when entering Ethiopia for the 1st (or subsequent) time/s, or is that not necessary? I don't want…
I have never supplied any exiting or hotel reseveration information when applying for a visa. I've never been denied a visa. Why not get a visa before you leave home? Except for my first couple of single entry visas, I've gotten 60 days per entry. Always ask for multple entry 1 or 2 year, even if it's your first time. Where I get my visa in the US, ever since they made everything the same price a few years back, they will tend to give you a 1 year multi even if you apply for a 30 day single…
A friend of mine spoke in the broadest kiwi accent possible (next to mine) but was born in the UK and did not have a reentry/multiple entry visa (though i think the requirements have changed somewhat now). Technically she could have been that "young NZer" as in someone who sounds like they should be alliowed entry but at that time actually wasn't.
But the Airline gets fined a considerable amount of money if a person gets denied entry so I am not surprised they refused him. Silly muppet for…
Hello Travelers,
Researching travel to Turkey in April and came across a note in a travel book about one's passport needs to be valid for one year prior to entry into Turkey. One website stated 6 months validation before entry.
My “renewed passport” will be only 7 months old at the time of travel. My question is which date will be used; the original date of 10 years ago or the renewal date?
I’d assume the original date, but don’t want to be denied entry due to an assumption.
I have not been able…
Our file is inside embassy and my Mother's passport validity is less than 6 months now? What will happen now?
Even if visa is granted ... Immigration officer has the right to deny entry with passport less than 6 months validity. Many airlines don't allow to board flight with lower than 6 month passport validity recent case with scoot airline denied passenger in SIN-SYD route with same reason. Highly risky to travel with passport less than 6 month validity in case stopped at point of origin…
You just like to think that. It's not just about appearances, only a person who has little to do with people would judge a book by its cover. What and how people converse is primarily important as well as body language. Experience cannot be denied and many quirks are obvious only to the trained eye. Like it or not, the immigration cop would suss you out straight away LOL.
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think.
So you think that someone can sit at immigration and decide, without any…
While the US border officials do not often ask to see the return or onward ticket, the airlines do, because they are on the hook for the cost of removing you from the country if you are denied entry, so they just deny you boarding on the flight to the US if you do not have a B2 or other visa or a return or onward ticket. Since the cost of a one way ticket to the US is often more than the cost of a return ticket, perhaps you have bought a round the world ticket, that will suffice if the onward…
