The NZ Dept of Health has issued guidelines for those who use shared accommodation( hostels, hotels, Airbnb for example). Anything like it in Australia?

A bit chaotic at Arcade Bus Station in C. Mai as Green Bus has cancelled all buses to C. Rai today. If I had to go I'd try taking a bus from C. Mai to Lampang and then change there for a bus to C. Rai. At Lampang I'd just ask every bus coming thru heading north if they could take me to C. Rai - they go via Hwy 1 which must be quite busy as the main route from Bangkok to C. Rai.
Hello, I will be traveling to India, on October and do not know how long till. I want to stay as long as possible,
The longest you can stay on a tourist visa is 6 months. If you have a multiple-entry visa, you can hop across the border and return.
I have been reading different articles saying monthly will be around from $300-$600.
If you haven't been to India before, a fiscal budget will begin at about $600.
I will be by myself, low maintenance and traveling lightly. I drink on occasion...
If you have one beer a day, add $60 to your monthly budget.
... and I just want to do some tourist stuff of course seeing the Taj Mahal and what not, most important though I do want to see;
The Taj Mahal is relatively expensive, but worth it. "Tourist stuff" is rather vague though. Visiting vegetable markets and walking through the city is cheap, but visiting heritage sites can get expensive quickly.
Delhi, Rajasthan, Kolkata, Mumbai, Varanasi (all through train).
Read up on train booking. Book early. You can save a lot of money by traveling general class.
Overall I wanted to know what would my average monthly cost will be since I want my budget to be somewhat accurate, thank you.
After your plane ticket, food and lodging will be your biggest expenses.
Have you traveled in South Asia before? You can find hotels as cheap as a few dollars and some cities, and no less than 30 USD in others. In some hotels, a cheap room will be comfortable and clean, while others might have bedbugs or mold. Don't put too much faith in review sites. Tourist hostels are sparse and overpriced. Couchsurfing in India is usually not a free experience.
Don't eat in your hotel. Don't eat in tourist restaurants. Eat where locals eat. An "all-you-can-eat" plate will cost between 1-2 USD in most places. Food is much cheaper in the South.

Extensive List of Vegan Options in Laos
Hi guys, I am looking into Laos food as a vegan. I've learned you should say: “kin jae” but should I also prepare a laminated text card to carry around with me, with the Lao script listing all the food additives I'm looking to avoid? For example:
-Looking to avoid the fish sauce, (naam pa)
*and what is the difference between naam pa and padek?
-Looking to avoid shrimp paste (khoung?).
-Looking to avoid MSG as well (Paeng Nua?).
-Looking to avoid the greasy standard Vegetable oil (Naam-man pheut)? Possible?
-Looking to avoid Oyster sauce as well (but don't know how to say that in Lao)?
How do I ask them to prepare the fried rice, stir fry noodles, or noodle soup without all of the above additives? Or is it just not possible? Perhaps a soy sauce base (Naam sayuu?) and that should help eliminate the need to add the other sauces?
I don't like going to vegan restaurants because they are overpriced, smaller portions, a little trendy, and full of non-locals. That is why I'm asking for help to modify the mainstream options to make them as vegan as possible.
I am not too serious about my veganism when on holiday. But, I just don't like the taste of animal products in general.
*I am OK to with Spicy (Pet). Even extra spicy is OK.
I'm listing a few dishes I'd like to try, please let me know if they will be safe to eat. And I also have some additional questions listed below. Thanks!
Jaew mak khua -roasted eggplant dip.
Jeow Mak Lin. roasted sweet tomatoes with garlic, onions and herbs.
*Avoid Jaew bong, Jeow som.
Khua pak bong - stir fried water spinach.
Yaw jeun - fried spring roll (watch the egg (khai) and oil used). How do I know?

What is Kaeng galee - Lao soup curry?
Kaeng Naw Mai - a green stew made with bamboo shoots.
"Or" - green vegetable stew. Or lam - Luang Prabang style green vegetable stew.
Sai & Seen & Som are meat based foods (avoid).
CHICKEN kai BEEF Ngua PORK Muu FISH Pa (avoid).
Ping means grilled (probably avoid).
What is Khao khua (?)
And how do you say veggies? puk, phaak or phat?
Laotian-styled fried rice. Khao jao or khao neung?
Khao lam - a sweet sticky rice dish made with red beans, coconut, coconut milk, and sugar prepared in bamboo. I like deserts.
Khao niao mak muang - sticky rice with coconut and mango.

Nam mak pow - coconut juice; with or without coconut meat.
*Looking to avoid condescend milk, but like the 100% Lao coffee (kaafe thung?)
Saa - Laotian tea (especially mulberry or the healthier green tea varieties)
Namkhong Special - is a sticky black rice beer. Where to find?
Nom som is or frozen sour milk dessert (bitter frozen yogurt?) rubber banded in a small plastic bag.
Thot Mak Ew is deep-fried pumpkin. It is cut into cubes before being stir-fried with chilies, garlic, onions (watch the shrimp paste). What is the word for shrimp paste?
What is the word for meat stock? meat broth? How do you say Fish flakes?
How do I ask to replace Condensed milk with coconut milk?
Or Vegetable oil for coconut, sesame (or another oil)? If possible?
Yaw Dip are fresh spring rolls – rice paper outsides filled with vegetables, salad and sometimes noodles (avoid the noodles because they could have egg in them.)
Clear see-through rice noodles are usually vegan, right?
Gaeng Nor Mai? What is it?
Soop Pak. Sour, herb and vegetables filled mix with sesame seeds. A local version with cashew tree leaves. The vegetables are typically blanched, mixed with herbs, and the most necessary ingredient is a huge amount of sesame seeds to wrap it all together and give it its unique nutty taste.
Steamed sticky rice cakes.
And is there any noodle soup that is 100% vegan?
Pha Khao Lao? What is it? (recommended)?
How do I say pumpkin or squash?

Hi,
I travelled Thailand extensively in 2001/2002 and it was fairly normal to arrive on an island by boat, rock up & find cheap beach or jungle huts for rent. Seems SEA has so many tourists now that I'm wondering if that has changed? I'm planning visit Koh Phangan in mid-Feb and wonder if I need to book a place in advance or if it's still easy to find cheap simple accomodation on arrival. Will prob stay on Bottle Beach and Tong Nai Pang Yai. How is Malibu beach? I've never been to that one before.
Thanks in advance.

Hello! I am going to be in Cairns staying with a friend from November 2019 to February 2020.
My sister will be joining me for 3 weeks, she will arrive a couple of days before Christmas. We had potentially talked about Bali or another area of Indonesia. But now i’m thinking should we should just hire a car and do a road trip?
I keep thinking about the tablelands etc! But just wondering what other people would do?
We don’t want “resorts” or big hotels etc we are happy in cheap accommodation, but want to get out and about and see lots!
Thanks!
cost of return flight london-koh samui around 1500 euro for two people . Flight prices go up in December,January and August, but the prices I posted before were for March 22 and April 5, 2020.
I've never been in a resort in Thailand, at list one that is a real resort, not just calling itself such. My guess is that with £ 100/£150 you should get what you want, better, what I think you are looking for.
In March 2016 I had a simple bungalow in Koh Samui, front row, seafacing, right on the beach for 1000 Bhat per night: best location in Samui, in my opinion, but far from luxurious.
Last December I stayed at a 4 stars hotel in Big Koh Chang, 2400 Bhat. Very good room , on the beach, but hotel style building : again no resort/tropical paradise feeling.
