Hey, I have the same situation. I currently have a student visa (one semester only) which expires at the end of October but I want to travel India until February, so will need to apply for a tourist visa. How did you go in Nepal? Was it a hassle to get a tourist visa after your student visa? I can't seem to find any information about switching from a student visa to a tourist visa. I am concerned that the same 2 month rule that applies to repeat tourist visa may apply also to student visas!
…I won't know about the life of Indians in Canada. I want to go to Canada for study purpose and is there any extra benefits french speaker.?
Hey folks,
is there anybody up to date on how to apply an Indian Visa in Jakarta? I am asking about the proper process of applying a Tourist Visa. I do not need any information about the eVisa process.
Please let me know if you applied for a 6-months Tourist Visa at the Indian Consulate in Jakarta during the last few weeks. All kind of information on how to do it and what documents to bring are appreciated.
Note: I am asking because there was a recent change in the Visa policies and I do not…
Hi guys,
I read a report on here about someone that applied for an Indian visa in Yangon but that was a few years ago. Doing a search, the only thing more recent that comes up is a guy who got the visa 5 months ago in Mandalay but he doesn't say what documents were required or how long it took. Only the visa fee is mentioned. His reply is buried in the India/Myanmar overland topic.
I know that e-visas are available but that's if you fly in. I plan to cross the land border - Zokhartaw going…
Searching for a correct order of festivals & fairs happening in India with its details would be wonderful.
I'm in the process of planning a 1 month jaunt through the Indian subcontinent at the end of January. My vague plan is to fly from Bangkok to Male and see the Maldives before they sink then head back to Bangkok and onward to Dhaka, spend a few days there then head for Kolkata, have a 2 or 3 day look around, on to Colombo, stop there 2 or 3 days then head for Delhi, do some standard touristy site-seeing then flit off to Cairo for a short stop.
I have 4 weeks up my sleeve and I think that that…
Hello
I am vish.
I am planning for.the south east Asia trip in a month.
I usually don't plan my trip from destinations to destinations I keep it free and decide the move according to the place and experience. So I know only two things first is I have 6-8 weeks and second is I want to be in all countries.
As I am researching about the trip on inter, i am noticing , it's difficult for the Indian bagpacker to visit countries.
As an Indian we have to take Visa in advance, show the return ticket…
Hello all !
Dors anyone can confirm if it is possible to have a visa for India in Rangon?
How long does it take to get it (I saw 3 days usually) ? Is it generally a 3 months or a 6 months visa? I saw about the fees (around 100$), and we have to pay in USD only, right?
Thank you do much if you can give some informations!
Have a great day :-)
Célia

Hello! I'm conscious that I may have left it a bit late to ask this question as I'm flying to India today. I really thought I would find some more information though! I'm going to be staying in New Delhi, and thought this would be quite ok for the duration of my stay, being that the Delhi metro is fully accessible. However, I think I would not like to branch out and cover some distance. The problem is, I've been reading some very negative things about accessibility across the rest of India…
