3314 results for sim card in india

Will be travelling in Laos for about 4 weeks in the beginning of next year. Covering quite a lot of the country, starting in north-west (entering from Thailand) till the very south (4000 islands, leaving for Cambodia). For this I want to buy a prepaid SIM card with internet/data (good speed).

What will be my best choice? Anyone recent experiences with this?

Thanks answering in advance.

Harry

About a month ago I opened an IRTC account and used a Master Card debit card to pay the small fee in preparation for an upcoming trip. This week I have had a number of fraudulent transactions on the card that have originated in New Delhi. Maybe this is a coincidence but it seems a bit strange that someone is using my card details to purchase reading glasses in India after I made an online transaction in India!
Has this happened to anyone else? I am a bit reluctant to use the IRTC account if it isn't secure.

Buy a local SIM card with a data package.
That will work at least in bigger places.
Don't rely on wifi.

Pandesal, thanks again. About QC sites - not sure what you mean? If it's about SIM card shopping, i would certainly get it at the airport, there is no reason not to buy it there (also i will be there in the afternoon).
Anything else might be interesting.

I have a few hour layover at CDG coming up and I need a SIM card for my (US-based) iPhone 7. Is there an Orange shop or other store that will sell me a SIM card?

Lonely Planet recommends the Yuanjiajie Zhongtian International Youth Hostel inside the park in Zhangjiajie and I've been trying to work out how to book it...
It doesn't seem to be reservable on booking.com/ trip.com etc etc. I've also tried texting the number in LP with my Vietnam and UK SIM cards and got an error message with both.
Any ideas how to book in advance, or do I need to just wait until I arrive.
Thanks
Jess

but don’t know how to find a driver. Can you help?

You can arrange a car+driver through your accommodation.

I’d like to hire a driver to take me to Agra (the Taj Mahal) & back the next day,

Making a simple day trip is not a good idea in the first instance - particularly given your other interests.

I’d like to go to spiritual places of peace. I’d like to stay in an Ashram. I’d like to see a tiger, elephant Wildlife Sanctuary. I’d like to visit temples of great beauty & meaning. Can anyone tell me some locales that would best fit this. Thank you. I am a woman.

How long do you have for all of this? Land transport in India is relatively slow, and travel can be draining.

I’d like to go to spiritual places of peace.

If your aim is to collect visas, always possible to ask them without going to the countries.

Michel

OP indicates he collects stamps, not visas

Reason being is, I like to collect passport stamps when I travel
