When I tried to buy a train ticket from Budapest to Eger I was told that because of delays due to work repairs on the tracks, it would be wiser to take the bus. I bought a bus ticket but curiously neither the Lonely Planet nor Rick Steve’s guide books indicate a bus station or a location where the bus drops arrivals.
Can I assume I will be dropped in the town of Eger and nowhere inconvenient?
It would seem logical.

It really depends your level of diving, past experiences, and expectations..

India is definitely not known for its diving amongst professional diving. .It is slowly getting more popular in India as the Indian middle class have more funds, but it is no comparison to the red sea... The islands of Laksadaweep, are known as the best diving in India, along with the Andamans. Personally, I was very unimpressed with the Andamans.. Little fish, dead corals, water too warm..... Others will disagree with this but I have a high level of expectation to classify it as good diving. Good diving is available on liveaboard boats out of the Andamans.

Lakshadaweep, though expensive as India goes, can be a pretty good deal with package tours...But it is, for example, not in the same league as the Maldives, even though the viz can be good and deep water drop offs should bring in nutrient rich waters.

The seas along the west coat of Goa in general, are not good for visibility... The fish life is still there. But you just can't see it..

In terms of ex-pat enthusiasm, we saw spectacular Diwali celebrations in Suva Fiji (where half the population is Indian) - it was very impressive. Maybe ex-pats do it bigger because the identity stakes are higher.

We can provide a lot of additional texture when you decide your overall shape.

Reports are that syringe and needle reuse in India continues to be a big problem. There are several articles online about this, from reliable sources. I´ve linked a couple of them below.

Hello all, I am flying into Yangon tomorrow ( :D!!) & am still figuring out my onward travel. I have read that ferry service between Yangon & a few different ports in India began (both cargo & passenger) a few years ago but cannot find any info about booking/logistics. Does anyone know if A) US citizens can leave Myanmar by ferry B) if such ferry service to India exists C) where I might access this info.
Btw I am currently in Thailand and will likely be printing out a fake onward travel flight if I am asked to prove onward travel upon my entry.
also I am as yet undecided on how long I will stay in Myanmar it will be between 3 and the 4 weeks permitted by my Visa.

There are excellent private hospitals with modern technology in big Indian cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai. And the medical professionals will speak English, but they will in Thailand too. If you become ill in the countryside in India, then your options for medical care are much more limited. There are always clinics and doctors, but the quality of care they can provide in small places is variable.

Probably you should do some reserach, and for India at least have a list of hospitals you could use in advance by location.

Just wondering if anyone has any recent experience of entering India on an e-Visa with a UK passport with less than 2 full empty pages left?

I'm going in October for a couple of weeks, flying into Goa via Mumbai, from London. Official advice for an eVisa is to have 2 full pages left in your passport - I have 1 full page and a half page which already has some Indian entry & exit stamps from my last visit, 2 years ago, and that's on the page facing my full-page 6-month visa from back then. The rest of my passport is filled with higgledy-piggledy stamps from all over South America. Do you reckon they'll let me in or will the notorious Indian bureaucracy see me turned back at the border?

So just wanted to know, whether it is possible to get a Pakistani Travel Visa for an Indian?
If yes, then if i get a pakistani travel visa then does it going to effect my visa applications for Other countries like USA & europian Union etc or any other country??**
(as i have heard that if you have a pakistani stamp on your passport than its very hardto get other visas)

Is it correct?

As indicated by lucapal (#3), it's not a challenge to visit the country without a rented car.
You will mix contracted lifts and public transports.
It can be done but it's up to you.
It's a question of choice.
